Context
House music has a rich history and lots of dedicated listeners who appreciate its infectious beat, soulful vocals, and hypnotic rhythms.
Source Records is an emerging record label that wanted to communicate the continuous energy of electronic music through their visual identity.
Design
Inspired by 90’s retro record covers, the visuals were designed to captivate and spark the feel of a party. Sharp shapes combined with vibrant gradients create visual contrast and bring bold, dynamic energy to the identity.
The logo draws inspiration from reverse-contrast fonts, echoing hypnotic, pulsing rhythms. It was also designed to spin in motion, as requested by the client. To balance the complexity of the icon and add a modern twist, I chose a clean sans-serif font.
